Victorian 18kt Sapphire & Diamond Enameled Cluster Ring 1.25ct center

SKU: 39744

$4,895

An outstanding gemstone ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This incredible ring is crafted in vibrant 18kt gold, and has an impressive halo design. Resting at the center is a gorgeous 1.25ct sapphire. The stone is prong set and displays a luscious deep blue color. Surrounding the central sapphire are 9 mine cut diamonds, accentuating the shape of the centerpiece. All of the diamonds rest in a scalloped shared prong setting, sparkling as they catch the light! Collectively, the diamonds weigh approximately 1.00ctw. The original black tracery enamel motif decorates the sides of the centerpiece, forming a striking pattern. The rich black enamel accents add further depth and contrast to the overall design. The wide shoulders taper in as the band nears the back. When worn, the ring looks positively magnificent, and would make an impressive addition to any Victorian jewelry collection!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.25. Due to the unique enameled design, significant re-sizing is not recommended. The elaborate centerpiece measures approximately 5/8" tall and wide. The gold band measures approximately 3mm wide in the back.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The sapphire and diamonds are all intact and securely set. The original black tracery enamel design has some slightly fading due to age and wear, but remains remarkably well-preserved.
