Not many people are aware that Newark, New Jersey was a major hub for the manufacture of jewelry from the late 1800's until the 1950's. One of the leading companies, the Riker Brothers, has an early history that dates back to 1846. Their pieces are quite sought after and still remain highly collectible today!

This stunning bangle bracelet from the Art Nouveau era (ca1900) is a wonderful example of the Riker Brothers' talent! Crafted in vibrant 14kt yellow gold, the bracelet is a slip-on style bangle, and features 3 sparkling gemstones. Known for their attention to detail, this gold piece is decorated in a lovely floral and scrolling etched design, which covers the entire outer surface. A large ruby stone is set at the center of the bracelet, bezel set and vibrant in color, while two sparkling diamonds are set on either side. The old Mine Cut diamonds are bezel set in white gold and act as the centers of two wonderfully etched flowers. The ruby weighs approximately 0.90ct and collectively, the two diamonds have a total overall weight of 0.20ctw. Stamped along the inside of the bangle is the Riker Brothers sword maker's mark along with "14K." The bangle's design is very versatile, and would look wonderful worn alone or stacked with other complimentary bracelets. A wonderful Art Nouveau piece by a legendary maker, it would compliment any collection!

Measurements: The inside opening of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 1/2" wide and 2 1/8" tall and would fit nicely on an average sized wrist. The surface measures approximately 3/8" wide and is 1/4" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there are no apparent dents or dings to the gold, and no damage to the etched design and all of the stones are intact.
