Late Victorian 14kt Diamond Engagement Ring 0.50ct

SKU: 42481

$2,595

A beautiful diamond engagement ring from the late Victorian (ca1909) era! This classic solitaire design is crafted in 14kt rosy yellow gold and adorns a stunning old Mine Cut diamond at the center of a simple band. The stone weighs 0.50ct and exhibits H/I color and SI1 clarity, sparkling beautifully with every turn. The diamond rests in a raised prong setting, which is perfectly complimented by a smoothly polished band that graduates slightly towards the back. Stamped along the inside of the band is a "14K" purity mark as well as the hand engraved initials and date "HVJ to HW 1909." The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in August 2019, and has a stated retail replacement value of $3,000.00. A lovely and feminine Victorian design, it has timeless beauty and would make a special engagement ring!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size scant 4.25, but could easily be re-sized. The diamond rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and the diamond is securely set.
