Edwardian 14k/Platinum GIA Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Ring

SKU: 46584

$5,595

A beautiful sapphire and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Made of platinum and 14k gold, this gorgeous ring has a lovely "step-up" style mounting. Three rows of platinum and diamond "steps" form the shoulders, framing a luscious 1.54ct blue Ceylon sapphire bezel set in the center of the ring. Resting on the steps of the shoulders are 12 sparkling diamonds in a delicate bead setting, the perfect accent to compliment the sapphire! These smaller diamonds weigh approximately 0.25ctw with J-K range color and VS-SI2 range clarity. Completing the elegant design is a simple rosy yellow gold band, which slightly tapers towards the back. The ring is accompanied by a GIA Sapphire Origin report, #2235057023, confirming that the center sapphire originated in Sri Lanka. This wonderful ring would look perfect worn on special occasions, or could make a unique gemstone engagement ring!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 5.5 scant, but could be re-sized. The center of the ring measures approximately 3/8" wide and 1/8" above the finger when worn.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or gold band. The sapphire and accent diamonds are all intact and securely set.
