Art Deco Sterling Silver Carnelian Muff Chain

A beautiful sterling silver muff chain from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Extremely long in length, this lovely piece is comprised of spherical carnelian stones that alternate with filigree links and twisted links that form the chain. Each gorgeous stone has a deep orange color that catches the light beautifully when worn. A natural patina gives the sterling a slightly darkened appearance, adding depth to the design. At the center of the chain is a sterling spring clasp and a swivel clasp, which makes it possible to double the chain, or to attach a complimentary pendant or locket if desired. A beautifully made piece, it has a very feminine appearance and is perfect for everyday wear!
Measurements:
The entire length of the chain measures approximately 32" long.
Condition:
The overall condition of the chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to any of the carnelian stones or filigree links, and the clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
